Pat, I'll buy a vowel..... "O" Please

We always feel like we're on a reconnaissance mission while getting the next "letter" in our ABC's of Arizona game. You pull into town, slow down, spot the sign, pull over, jump out with the camera, take the picture and get back on and keep going. Doesn't look suspicious at all. For Veteran's Day we decided to go for a ride and enjoy the beautiful weather. We headed south and while down there hooked up with Glenn and Debra, two of Gary's oldest friends from back in his Air Force days. Through all the family moves over the years, here we are 20 years later in the same state getting together without skipping a beat. It was a good day to relax, spend time with friends, and remember our Veteran's.

It was a good weekend.... :-) Friday was trick or treat night. Caity was a "cowgirl" with pink bejeweled boots and did some trick or treating just like every other kid in America. Brian had to work...sorry about that Brian. Don't know what Alysha and Kiersten was up to that night but I'm sure Kiersten was dressed up as something cute. We ended up with treats ourselves since we bought two bags of candy then ended up not being home that night. We still have two bags of candy. The next day we met up with those interested at the Gateway airshow. Wasn't much of an "air show" but we enjoyed being around the planes. Looking forward to Luke Days 2009, which is March 21st, so put it on the calendar now!

"G", Where are Gary and Lisa Now?

It was a beautiful day, so we couldn't resist getting out for a short ride. If you were not aware Gary has been collecting the "ABC's" of Arizona. His goal is to get all of them sometime during 2008. We needed a "G", so it was either going to be a trip to Gila Bend or Globe. Due to the lack of time and above average tempuratures we chose Kenny's old stomping ground. Check out what we've collected so far: http://good-times.webshots.com/album/562549067DIZywt

The Voss Winning Streak Continues

Everyone remembers Lisa's lucky win at one of the charity rides earlier in the year. Obviously, winning at ones first attempt does not skip a generation. This months general membership meeting for our Harley Chapter was a costume party, so we gave the kids an option to come along and wear a costume if they liked. Brian passed, but Caity took us up on the offer. At first the plan was for her to be a cowgirl, however at the last moment the Disney princess costume was the choice. Amongst all of the adults, and one other child, Caity won the contest and in doing so a $50 gift card to the Harley dealership. Thus, the first timers luck continues for the Voss women.

Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta

We attended the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque with the Harley Chapter. First, we had to get there...so up Friday at 4:30 am to get an early start to the group ride over to NM.

Next, another early start Saturday at 4:30 am to get to the Fiesta in time to see the mass assention. Note the Dr. Pepper balloon.

Saturday we went riding NM to Madrid, which is where the movie Wild Hogs was filmed, and then up Sandia Peak before heading back to the hotel.

Then cometh the wind, which meant the balloon glow was cancelled, then that night the rain. Upon awaking up at a much later 6:00 am, we were welcomed by pouring rain and 45 degrees.

Luckily the rain cleared a bit and we were able to hit the road only catching the occasional rain shower, cold tempuratures, and even a couple seconds of hail near Heber. But all said...it was a great weekend and we'd do it again!!

Hi to all our friends and family!! First we wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who attended our special day. A special thanks to family who helped pull it off behind the scenes and made it a great for us. After a honeymoon at the happiest place on earth....yes, Disneyland of course....we're back and settling into life just fine.

Thanks again...it's nice to have great family and special friends. We'll keep this up to date and be a part of the "blogging" experience...... Gary and Lisa. :-)
